The Peruvian Patrick Tschudi studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Genève and at the Geneva University of art and design.
For him, art is about opening windows, about the exercise of materializing forms in order to experience different levels of consciousness. He is interested in what lies beneath human activity as a collective phenomenon.
Tschudi uses black dots in his work in order to make it possible for the majority of the people to identify with the depicted figures. The use of human pictograms is the result of the desire to express things in an accessible, global language. They are directly linked with the process of globalization, which is generating a homogenization of societies and therefore the individual. He uses photographs as references for his digital vector drawings. It’s a long process and once he has the image done he works with a photo lab for the printing and calibrating the colours. Finally the print is framed under an acrylic glass or under a high gloss.
